Special Party Needs

Here are a few Special Party Needs to consider when planning your event

Number of adults/child: for large children’s parties be sure that you are not overwhelmed with children. Especially if they are fairly young.

You can either ask a few of the parents to come, get some relatives to help with crowd control or have friends stationed at certain areas that could cause problems.

Babysitting if necessary: For adult only parties most people are able to find their own babysitting, but there are always a few who feel a little anxious about leaving their little ones with a babysitter or are simply not able to find one.

If you can-have a room or area set aside for children with toys and games and have an adult or two that can help.

I would not advertise the babysitting or you may have 30 children you now have to find babysitters for. But as people arrive or things get under way suddenly Uncle John appears and says to the kids, “Hey do you want to come find some toys.”

The children may go back and forth but it will alleviate some of the pressure if you had not planned for children at your formal dinner party. Candles, knife, cake server, matches: Don’t forget the things that make the party!

Special candles for birthdays, pictures for anniversaries, embarrassing moments for a graduation party. Remember the reason you are having the party.

Make sure and set out the things that will make the party festive and memorable.
