Mountain Cricket
Type of Game: College - Mountain Cricket Equipment: 6 Pop Cans Per 4 Players, Waist High Sticks/Poles, Duct Tape Ball, and Paper Plates Formation: Pairs # of Players: 4+ Description: Set up two plates about 40 feet from each other with three cans behind each plate. Divide the group into pairs of 2. Have 2 pairs compete against each other at a time. Have one of the teams place a player at each plate. They are at bat. The other two players, from the opposing team, each get behind each set of cans. The team behind the cans pitches(rolls) the ball across the field. The player at the plate tries to hit the ball and then he and his teammate run back and forth between the two plates until their opponents get the ball and knock over a can with it The runners count each time they change plates, which will be their score. The pitchers get the other team out by pitching the ball past their opponents and knocking down the three cans. Now the teams switch positions. The team with the most points after a number of innings(each team bats once), at your choosing, wins.
