Happy Camper Snatch

Equipment: Handkerchief/Ball

Formation: Teams

# of Players: 10+

Description: Divide the players into two teams. Have the teams line up facing each other about 20-30 feet apart standing shoulder to shoulder. Players in each line are numbered off so that there are players numbered 1,2,3,4,.. etc. on each team.

In the center, halfway between the two lines, place a handkerchief, a ball, or beanbag. Have the leader(someone who isn't playing) call out a number or numbers. The players from each team with that number or numbers rush to the center. The first one to reach the handkerchief grabs it and runs back to their line.

This player is safe anywhere behind her team. The other player tries to tag the player before they get back to their team. If the player with the handkerchief is tagged, one point is scored for the opposing side.

If the player with the handkerchief gets back to her line safely, two points are scored for their team. First team to get ten first wins.

Variation: Instead of a handkerchief, use 2 to 10 objects(acorns, leaves, seeds, etc.) and the leader will call the name of the objects. Then the leader will call out a number. The players with those numbers then run to the center and try to snatch the object named.
