Like all great games for childrens parties this game can be played with anywhere from 2 players up to hundreds.

I have seen this played with a large party game group of over 200 children.

The set up: First you need at least one egg for each pair.

You need some music and a large field that won’t be bothered if some eggs get broken on it.

A public park would not be a good idea, but a farmers field would work great.

Once you have the supplies you need to get people playing your games for childrens parties you need to have them pair up.

One cute idea is to start yelling out numbers.

For example you yell out the number 5 and people at your party grab the four other people closest to them then they start running around the field randomly.

Until you yell out 7. Then each person grabs the 6 other people next to them to make up seven. Then they run again.

This is a great way to burn off energy. When you are ready to start the games for children’s parties egg toss party game you Yell the number 2 and each of your party game players grab one other person. This other person becomes their partner.

Once you have everyone paired up you have them stand on a center line.

I like to use an old rope or a center sidewalk or something like that.

The partners need to be facing each other. You give each party game pair an egg. Explain that you are going play some music. Make it upbeat, fun music

While the music is playing they are to toss the egg that you will give them to each other then after they have tossed it each time they will take one giant step backwards making the distance between themselves and their partner greater.

This will not be one of those hard games for childrens parties at first but as the music continues and the players get further and further apart it will get harder and harder to throw and catch the egg without it breaking.

This game for childrens parties ends when all of the party game goers drop or break their eggs. The last pair with a whole egg gets a prize

Party Game Hint’s:

Make sure that you have runner up prizes for the best splat, the most egg on the face, shortest distance thrown, etc.

Have a toss off (just redo the party game) with the last 3-4 pairs that throw their eggs the farthest.

I have seen this done a lot of times both as games for children’s parties and as games for youth groups and even as a adult party game.

At one of the party game parties where I saw this game played the host had a toss off between the adult party game players and the children party game players.

They lined them up just as I said above but then had the adults play against the kids. The kids won that party game and as a wager to the parents got to put some of the broken eggs on the face of the parents that lost.

A different time I saw this party game played was a lot sweeter. The parents each chose one of their kids as partners and the parent kid team that won received a really nice prize. A fishing trip to Alaska! Too bad I did not have any kids at the time.
