Game Ideas for Birthday Party - ZOOM! BOING! SHAAA!

GAME IDEAS FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY - Zoom! Boing! Shaaa!

Intro to the Game: There are no props or materials needed for this fun party game.

This game ideas for birthday party works great in groups of 8-100.

If there are more than 15 people, divide the group into two and have everyone sit in a circle.

The ideal number of people for one circle is 8-15 people.

This fun party game is a fast-paced, “passing” game that requires everyone to be attentive and listening.

To begin, you explain that there is an invisible ball which you are holding at the time. This ball must be passed throughout the circle in very distinct motions.

Explain the three basic moves:

ZOOM: The person who possesses the “ball” waves his hands in the direction in which the ball will travel.

Basically pretending to throw the ball overhand with both hands. The “ZOOM” move simply passes the ball.

When the first person to have the ball passes it, he moves his arms and says, “ZOOM!”

Let everyone in the group practice the move a few times and then go around the circle having everyone just do “ZOOM” in one direction until they feel comfortable, not very long.

BOING: When someone wants to change the direction of the moving invisible ball, they simply lift their elbows so that they are shoulder height, clutch both fists above their head, making an L shape with both arms.

Then yell “BOING!” This automatically changes the direction the ball is heading to the opposite direction.

Let the group practice “BOING” and then go around the circle one or two times letting them use the BOING and ZOOM moves.

SHAAA: The last move is pronounced “SHAW” but must be yelled at the top of their lungs.

To do the SHAAA simply raise both hands in the air and yell “SHAAA!” This makes the invisible ball bounce and skip the person next to you.

So if the ball was moving to the left and it arrived to you and you were to yell, “SHAAA” it would skip the person next to the left of you.

Let the group practice that move a few times until they feel comfortable with it and move on to the complete game ideas for birthday party.

THE FUN PARTY GAME: Once everyone feels comfortable explain that the invisible ball will soon be set in motion.

The motion of the ball must remain constant and fast. As the ball moves, if someone makes a wrong move, or waits too long, then they are eliminated.

Let the fun party game begin!

Many times the person with the ball yells “SHAAA” the person being skipped will move their hands in anticipation.

If you do not have the ball you are not allowed to move or speak. If you do you are eliminated.

All of the people that are eliminated become judges and carefully watch to see if all of the rules are being followed and catch whoever messes up.

Contestants will be wliminated one by one until only two remain. By the time there are only two it will be difficult to continue playing so you can declare the final two the winners and start the next round.

If you have many people you can take the two winners from each group and make a final competition while the others wither watch or start another round.

VARIATION on Game IDEAS FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY: If the group catches on fast add a new rule “NO TEETH!”

Have everyone place their lips over their teeth so they cannot be seen.

Continue the game as normal, but all the commands must be yelled without showing any teeth. If anyone in the group laughs they must not show their teeth or they are out.

If you play it this way it is hilarious! Give it a try.Add as many new or different rules as you like! Be creative!
