Free Games - Penny in the Flour

Pack a measuring cup tight with flour. Flip it onto a plate so that it stays in form.

Place a penny on the top in the middle. Place it on it’s side. So that it sticks up and both heads and tails are visible.

Arrange all the players around the table. And place the plate on the table.

Have each player take a turn rolling the dice. If a certain number (you choose) or doubles are rolled than that person has to shave off some of the flour with the knife. Game continues in this manner until the penny falls.

The player that made the penny fall has to pick it up with their mouth! No Hands.

Have your Camera Ready This will make a great photo.

Other ways to play:

Have a large measuring or other cup to make the game last longer.

You can make a quiz game out of it. Say you are at a bridal shower. Prepare a list of questions about both the bride and groom. Ask each player a question. If they get it wrong they have to cut into the flour.

Have a prize for the one who gets the penny. Even though they lost – it’s fun!

I played this party game at a party over Halloween and it was a blast. Everyone really got into it. It was so fun that no one wanted to stop so we kept playing till we were all covered with flour and laughing our guts out. It was a huge mess but everyone had fun. Best of all, my husband and the other guys even got into it. There is nothing like seeing a guy try to be gentle wile shaving flour. One thing to keep in mind is that you want to do this in a place that is easy to clean up like the kitchen or some ware with tile floor. Otherwise you will have to use the vacuum before it gets tracked every ware. That can be a bummer in the middle of your party games.
