Free Games For A Party

Type of Game: Birthday party game - Leap Frog, Crab walk, wheelbarrow, relay race.

Equipment: What ever you want to carry back and forth. Ex. Eggs and spoons

Formation: Teams

# of Players: 10+ to hundreds and hundreds

Description: Divide the group into two or more teams for this party game.

Have the teams line up single file at the starting line. One right behind the other.

On the signal, teams will begin with the first player from each team bending over and the next person in line hops over the back of the first player.

Then they become the new head of the line and bend over so that the next last player can hop over their backs. This continues until the goal is reached.

The first team past the finish line wins.

I have seen many different ways to do this free game for a party.

One of the other ways you can do it is to make it a relay race. Meaning you have to get all of the members of your team to one end of the playing field using the Leap Frog Party Game method.

Then have them turn around and come back to the other end of the field by doing the wheelbarrow race back to the other end of the field.

The wheelbarrow is done in couples. One of the players go down on there hands and knees and kick their legs back up into the waiting hands of their partner.

Their partner grabs the legs and holds them in the air while the one on the ground walks on their hands to the other end of the field.

This free game for a party is a lot of fun. You can also add as many trips back and forth across the field as you want to.

Some other relay races ideas are:

Do the crab walk at least one direction. This is done be sitting down on you bottom and putting your hands back behind you and walking on your hands and feet.

Use a prop such as a egg and spoon to go back and forth bringing eggs from one end of the field to the other.

To end the free games for a party or any party game make it fun. Have the winning team make up a cheer or build a human pyramid or have them all stand on their heads with or without the help of their team members. This is how you keep the momentum going and the party games fun.

Always end a party game when people are having fun. Keep the excitement and end at the climax so that they will go on to the next party game. Or go home thinking “wow that was a lot of fun I can’t wait till I can come back to the next adult party or child birthday party.”

If you wait till the game is dying down they will remember the dying down not the fun stuff.
