Free Birthday Games - Candy Search

You can scream, run around, contest rules, etc. and it is totally acceptable.

This candy search game is great for large groups or kids or adults.

For this great game all you need are some flavored tootsie rolls, various kinds of Hershey Kisses, or enough different types of candy for each team.

Divide the group into teams of 3 or more. Only having about 4-5 teams. You can have as many players per team as you need. but at least 3.

Have each team assigned a color of candy and a kind of candy.

For example Team A could be red tootsie rolls, Teams B orange tootsie rolls. Or Team A could be Kisses and Team B starburst. You choose.

Before the guests arrive have the various types of candy scattered and partially hidden.

After the teams are broken up each team will choose an animal mascot. Like Elephant, Tiger, Cow, etc.

Encourage your guests to pick a mascot that makes a noise most people can easily copy.

Each team picks a leader. When you say GO! all players go in search of the candy. The leader is the only one who can touch the candy.

So when someone from the team with the Cow mascot finds their candy they stand by the candy and “Mooo!” As soon as the leader hears he/she goes and gets the candy.

The team with the most candy of their kind after 5 min. (Or whatever time you decide) are the winners.

TIP: If you are playing with highly competitive people you might consider making a penalty for those who pick up candy that is not for their team.

This is a game that any age can play! It will be great as a beginning game. It will loosen people up.

Cause nothing loosens people up like making animal noises!

It could also work as a gathering game. As people come in tell them the simple rules and assign them to be a cow, horse, etc.

After this game your guests will be eager for all the other free birthday games you have planned.
