Buses, Trams and Trolleys
Type of Game: Adult - Buses, Trams and Trolleys Equipment: 3 Chairs Formation: Teams # of Players: 10+ Description: From your group choose 3 people to be on the jury and one person to be the instructor. Then divide the rest of the group into 2 teams. Try to have equal teams-maybe adding or taking away from the jury if necessary. Have the teams count off, and make sure that each player remembers their number. There can be as many numbers as players on each team-no limit. But every member from the same team must have a different number from everyone else on their team, and match with someone from the other team. Have the teams form lines and place 3 chairs in between the two teams. The first chair is a "bus", the second is a "tram", the third is a "trolley". The instructor starts speaking: "It's early, early morning. All the people are hurrying to work. There are many people at the bus stops. Now in the distance I see … I see… What do I see … Well, it's number 3 bus." The instructor should tell the story quickly. So both people that are number "3's" must take their place on the first chair. The player who takes the first chair gets a point for their team. If it is close then the jury gets to decide the winner. Then number "3's" return to their teams. The instructor continues: "There were so many people at the bus stop, that only 2 people managed to take the bus. All the rest must wait for the bus. Now I see number 1… tram. So both number "1's" must try to sit on the second chair. The one who does gets a point for their team. The story continues until every team member has gone at least once-or until all the chairs are broken. The team who scores the most wins.
