Birthday Party Games Potato in the Hand Party Game
Description: Birthday Party Games Potato in the Hand Party Game.On the count of three the host will say “Go!”(This is when the Birthday Party Game begins.) After which you will bear hug the person next to you. Have all the pairs line up. Sit down directly across from the person you hugged forming two parallel lines. However, the host will be the odd man out. Have players join hands with their team members. Next, the Host will flip a coin that is visible to the first person on each team. The Host flips the coin continuosly. If it lands on Heads it means “Go” and Tails means “Do nothing.” To execute the Birthday Party game you must understand the meaning of “Heads” or “Tails” by the flipping of a coin. When the coin lands on heads, the player from each team that is closest to the host will squeeze the hand of the person of the person next in line. The second player squeezes the third player’s hand. And so forth until the last person in line grabs the potato or ball. Whichever team that grabs the object first is the winner. The wining team’s players will rotate. The player who grabbed the potato will become the player who watches the coin. All other players will move down one spot. Playing continues until one team has gone through a full rotation. The reason why this Birthday Party Game is a great icebreaker game is because you can play it in various environments. Say you are on a group date with that gorgeous hottie of yours and you really want to hold his hand or her hand. This game is great to entertain those co-workers or that boss you need to impress or those pesky house guests that raiding your fridge. Alternative ways of playing this Party Game would be if you have an extra large Birthday Party Game group, a.k.a. your party game groupies. You could bear hug two people making three lines! instead of the original two lines! You could increase the line length or if you had, say, fifty people, you could hug four people making five lines of ten people and so forth. However, having a larger amount of people playing this game you will need to have a way for the person seeing the coin land on heads or tails. I.E. If you have five groups you will need the one person from each line to see the coin land on heads or tails as previously mentioned. You must place the lines in a way that those players that need to see the coin flipped can equally start the process avoiding cheating. When the squeezing gets to the last person in line that person must get up and run! To the potato or ball which can be placed on a set spot 10, to 50 feet depending on the ability or willingness of the teams. This will work the same way as the simple way of playing this game, however, you must watch out for broken bones or black eyes because once that person starts running for that potato, you never know what could happen! GOOD LUCK!!!
