Games to Play at Parties

This is one of those fun games to play at parties.

I have played this at over 25 different parties and every time everyone ends up laughing themselves silly.

Whether it was my bachelorette party or a Halloween party game the result is the same -

Sheer Joy and Laughter! This game is always a hit.

Supplies: A couple paper bags from your local grocery store, a pair of scissors and a large room or open space for everyone in your party game group to circle up.

The object of the game is simply be the last one to be able to pick up the paper bag with their mouth without having anything but their feet touch the ground. Easy enough right.

Well you will see…This is one of the best games to play at parties because it gets everyone involved and playing with each other.

To start the games to play at parties paper bag game…Start calling out numbers like 3 then have everyone get into a group of three. Then say 5…7…9 and when the size of the groups looks about right stop and have them form a circle. I like having groups of about 7 or 8 to keep the game moving in a fast pace.

Once they are in a circle put a paper bag on the floor in the middle of the circle. Then show everyone what to do. You as the leader bend down and pick up the paper bag with your mouth.

Then have the next person in the circle do it and so on till everyone has had the chance to pick up the paper bag with their mouth.

Remember you cannot touch the floor with anything but your feet. No hands, elbow, knees, etc. allowed, and only your mouth can touch the bag.

In order to do this they will have to bend over or squat down. If they can bend over to pick it up, and successfully stand back up without falling over then they’ve passed onto the next round.

If any part of your body other than your feet touch the ground you’re out.

After everyone has had a chance to pick up the bag one time you “let’s make these games to play at parties more interesting” then you (in a very dramatic way) take out the scissors and cut several inches of the top of the bag off. Then you start again.

After several rounds, people will start getting out or falling over.

They only have 3 tries per round to successfully pick it up. Eventually you get to where the bag is too short and very difficult to pick up.

Continue cutting the bag shorter and shorter each round until there is only one person left in each group. As then you have each of the “winners” compete with a new bag for the grand prize.

Other variations: Another way to play is to stand on one foot when trying to pick up the bag. This makes it much harder to balance. And a lot of fun to watch.

I played this at a Halloween party one time and it was the funniest thing you have ever seen.

It was an adult Halloween party and so we had about 200 adults from age about 23 to 30 or so all dressed up in Halloween costumes. One was a giant orange (he said he was a pumpkin but he looked like a orange) he one several of the rounds.

There was another lady playing games to play at parties the paper bag game that was pregnant. She made quite a seen when she beat most of the guys at this adult party game.

Fun party games are great. Fun was had by all and we had some great photos to show for it in the end.
